I am a 40-something mother of 5 and a high school math teacher. The father of my children, my high school sweetheart, came to terms with being gay in the summer of 2008, just before Prop 8 in CA became really big news. This blog documents my journey with our relationship and family, and with my struggle as a member of the LDS church that chooses to support and rejoice in the loving relationships and marriages of my gay friends.
"When you wish upon a falling star, your dreams can come true. Unless it's really a meteorite hurtling to the Earth which will destroy all life. Then you're pretty much hosed no matter what you wish for. Unless it's death by meteor."

Well-behaved women rarely make history.
Life is not one big to-do list.
You do not have to clean like your mother.
Even a small pebble makes ripples.
Keep your promises to yourself and others.
Always put people before things.
Answer the phone everyday like it's your birthday.
Never let negative people bring you down.
Attitude can make all the difference in the world.

The statement reports that Elder Jensen did not apologize for Prop. 8 but did apologize for hurt feelings and misunderstandings.
Sorry you don't like my title. Just a generalization for how I understood it.
